    Hello Gurus,

    Can we use an Existing Adv. parole Document that was stamped at the POE this year be used Again for Travel Purpose. It has a Valid date and expires in September '08. I am planning to visit europe next week and i couldn't find the 2nd AP Document that was never used.

    Yes you can.
    I specifically asked this question to the IO at POE. He said I should use the already stamped one not the new one. Please make sure to carry extra copies.

    I just found this link (http://immigrationvoice.blogspot.com/) where this topic is already covered. Mods, please remove my post (and maybe it would make sense to create threads specific to the USCIS/DOS mess up to - at the moment it does not look very organized to me and it is hard to find information. Maybe sub-threads with "law suit", "publicity" would channel comments better?)

    I only read about an article in two online newspapers but believe this whole topic should get significantly more attention. I do not know if that is going to help to get this started but I sent an e-mail to our local TV stations and hope that some may be interested and even pick it up. Again, no idea if this is going to work but I assume that if they get more e-mails regarding the same topic, interest will come up....

    With having many international operating companies in the U.S. who all employ legal alliens who are going through the "greencard process" to become legal permanent residents, the Department of State (DOS) and the U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS) have destroyed many plans, caused significant financial loss for applicants and very likely acted against the law.     I think this would be well worth a few minuted report - everybody is talking about the pain that the illegal immigrants go through but (without taking away anything from that), the pain of legal alliens having to deal with the willful behavior of USCIS and DOS is not much better.

    That little sucker looks to be one heck of a feature packed little camera. If you did not think about FF and pro stuff this would make the consumer camera one real tough decision! Nice little camera!

    When I went to my county health dept to get vaccination shots (for medical exam), they asked me to see the civil surgeon first, "else you will pay lot more for shots that you do not need". I gave them the standard list (MMR, Polio, DTaP, Influenza type B, Hepatitis B), and there are a few more in (page 3 of) I-693 form (http://www.uscis.gov/files/form/I-693.pdf). Someone on this thread (http://immigrationvoice.org/forum/showthread.php?t=5553) (second-last post) says you may need a shorter list based on your age group. Did anyone recently take these shots, and can she/he give the correct list here?

    I had 3 of my co-workers in IV and they are no longer here. What ever i did before for IV is with the help of the university students and most of them i know left after their graduation or ready to leave in the next few months.

    As always there are other members who are in IV and they do not want to participate in the IV activities. All they want is to get the information from IV forums.

    1-140 cleared

    In the field I94# and expiration I entered I 94 number which is on the white card on the passport and it is the same as the number on my renewed h1 papers.However I entered expiry date from the i94 on the passport,which is oct06 instead of the 010 date in the renewal.

    will that be a problem..? CAN I CORRECT IT AFTER I get the reciept no or will thay be able to verify with the latest h1 paper that i94 is valid

    You will not jeopardize your I-485 as long as job with company C is in same or similar occupation. Whether USCIS will grant an H-1 3 year extension based on a withdrawn/revoked I-140 is not certain. I outlined the reasons for this uncertainty in my response on the thread entitled "Facing Layoff---6 months left..."

    So in short, B to C H1 transfer/extension is usually not possible if I-140 is revoked.

    I have completed 3.5 years of my H1B and am looking at the possibility of applying for GC either under EB2/3.
    After my 12th, I did a 2 year Diploma in Business from Australia and then did a 2 year MA(History) in correspondence (open uni) from India and also a 1 year PGDCA by correspondence.
    I have more than 10 years of IT experience to go with my 12+2(fulltime)+3(correspondence)years of education.

    Questions:
    Please advice if I qualify for EB2 and if so will there be any issues ?

    Hi

    I lost my job in January and since I was not able to get a new project. So, returned back to India in May'09. My AP was valid till 21-July-2009. I did not file for extension while in US.

    Now, I am getting a job in US and the employer is asking if I could join immdiately. Please let me know:

    1. If there is any option for me to renew my AP from India?
    2. Any other options, since my H1B got expired (6 years) in May'09.

    Note: My EAD is valid till June 2010.

    You cannot file AP while you are out side US.

    You can still apply for seventh yeat extension and go for stamping.

    I agree ..I wonder what kind of effect will swine flu have ..it certainly gives the anti-immigrants a huge advantage (as predicted by pat buchanan) ...

    Will this bill contain a merit based sytem? I know Obama was the the key author of a bill based upon merit based in 2007.


    Has anyone of you come across any type of information which reflects on Merit based immigration system this year?

    hi,

    thanks to everyone here for the kind input, I am almost done with my GC application under NIW. Since I have a load of documents for primary evidence,
    how should I arrange them and where should I mention the "table of contents" so to speak. I have a detailed cover letter also.

    INS prefers or should I use the term "requires" a certain way of organizing documents using certain clips. You can search online for them. They do this because it helps in filing them the documents at their office.
